I am an avid believer in inspirational quotes and tag lines. Whenever I need motivation, inspiration or encouragement, I find something to uplift me.
Like many people, I have encountered many road blocks in life which have created lingering doubt and fear. Nonetheless, I have overcome those hindrances by simply taking time to build an unbreakable confidence in myself.
Buddhists believe in the Law of “Dharma,” which means, the purpose in life. This law says that we have taken manifestation in physical form to fulfill a purpose. You have a unique talent and a unique way of expressing it. There is something that you can do better than anyone else in the world. By understanding your purpose and special qualities, you will be able to reach your goals and get closer to your dreams.
One day, it hit me. In order for me to define my purpose in life, I need to come up with my own inspiration. My own manuscript to encourage myself to live up to my potential. So that’s what I did! I came up with my own quote and my own mission statement, to help me build up the confidence to turn my dormit dreams into reality.
My mission statement is: Ambition+ Attitude + Action = Success.
Although it is not lengthy as most mission statements, it gives me a sense of purpose and it ignites my drive to succeed on a daily basis. I have this success formula imprinted deep into the back of my mind. I even have it written in various places around the house and at work to help me focus and keep my eye on the prize. I use my own words of motivation whenever my doubts and fears come to visit in order to reinforce my commitment to my goals.
Today, take time out of your busy schedule to define your purpose, your goals and your mission statement. It will be worth it in the long run.

Excellent article!!! A few years ago I read “The 7 Habits of Highly Effective People” by Stephen R Covey in the early chapters he discussed having a mission statement. I developed a mission statement 5 years ago at age 22 and have used it to direct my life in the way I want it to go. Having a mission statement keeps you on track and helps you eliminate the things in your life that will not help you achieve your ultimate goal. Once again very good article!!
