To the fashion world, this week is more anticipated than Christmas and it is to fashion what the Olympics is to sports.
Starting September 9, fashionistas get a chance to see their favorite designer’s collection for the next season under one tent. I have been waiting for this week since the NYC Fall/Winter fashion week in February. There will be so many talented designers under the tent this year, but there are a few shows and events that i am eagerly anticipating.
Christian Siriano was the winner of the fourth season of Project Runway and this year he came out with a line of shoes for Payless that was extremely fabulous. I can’t wait to see what he has to bring for Spring and Summer 2011. Follow Christian Siriano @csiriano
Rebecca Taylor
Another designer I am excited to see is Rebecca Taylor. Her designs are simple, yet vibrant and full of color. She uses a lot of embellishments and is very known for her cute day dresses, pencil skirts and practical knits. I am very curious to see how she is going to use her signature look for the next season. Follow Rebecca Taylor @MyRebeccaTaylor
Betsey Johnson
Out of all the designers, I am more then excited to see Betsey Johnson on the runway. Her designs are so fun and very cute with lots of puffy toole filled dresses and sexy tight separates. I also hope she will showcase her accessories. All her runway shows are exciting and full of color. You can always count on her to come out and do a cartwheel or just be full of life and energy. The biggest day for fashion week will be Fashion Night Out. Every store will have different events and parties on this night . From Pharrell Williams at the Ice Cream/BBC store to Halle Berry doing a signing for all customer that come in with the new September Vogue issue at Ralph Lauren, this night is sure to be full of memorable experiences. These events are open to the public, so everyone can join in on the fun. Follow Fashion Night Out on twitter @FNOnyc
