In the sad event that you missed it, MTV definitely saved the best for last. Being the most anticipated performance of the night, Kanye had a lot to prove.
After the 2009 VMA fiasco involving little Taylor, many people wrote Kanye off.
However, I think after this performance and his musical talent in general, people realize that Kanye is back and better than ever. Performing with an Akai MPC2000 drum machine on stage, auto-tuned microphone and ballet dancers, he toasted to “the d-bags, a** holes, jerk-offs and scumbags.” Many people wouldn’t be able to get away with that, but I think Kanye pulled it off quite well.
