Kanye West said it best, “MJ gone. My n**ga dead!” A whole year later, it is still difficult to cope with the passing of the most famous entertainer of our time. Although Michael Jackson is gone physically, his legacy, spirit and music will thrive and live long forever. In honor of the King of Pop, the owners of Michael Jackson’s former home, Neverland Ranch, are considering turning this massive estate into a music school for teens.
The campus will be spanned across the 2,800 acres of the estate. I can imagine that this school will certainly be much like the movie FAME on the west coast for gifted youth where kids have “jam sessions” in the lunch room and do impromptu recitals! It will even replicate NYC’s Julliard, in which the school will focus on teaching kids, from all background and demographics to write and perform music. For sure this is one of the best ways to honor the late-grate Michael Joe Jackson’s legacy!
Definite plans for the school are on hold until Santa Barbra County approves of the project and if the owners of the estate will be able to use Michael’s name in order to promote and publicize the property.
Let’s keep our fingers crossed for this one!
