Fashion’s Night Out was said to be the Halloween of fashion. Everybody that was anybody was participating in an event on Friday night. I wasn’t able to participate in all the events, but the events I did go to were well worth it.
I believe Fashion’s Night Out 2010 had to be the biggest Fashion’s Night Out ever.
Betsey Johnson Soho
This was the first event I attended and this had to be the best. Betsy Johnson wanted to celebrate her young female customers, so she had makeup artists doing makeup, hair stylists doing hair and a lady arching eyebrows. While you were waiting for your makeover, they served cupcakes and champagne while Dj Kalkutta played girly songs to dance to. After your make over, you chose a Betsey Johnson dress to wear for a photoshoot.
Ice Cream/Billionaire Boys Club Soho
I was very excited to go to the Ice Cream/BBC store because Pharrell Williams was doing a meet and greet but the line was long and you couldn’t meet Pharrell unless you bought a shirt. I was a little disappointed, but that disappointment went away when Pharrell Williams cleared West Broadway and did a mini concert with N.E.R.D., Chris Brown, Ryan Leslie and Kanye West also made an appearance.
Burberry Soho
Burberry had a party for their customers filled with models and wardrobe stylists. Burberry served champagne and food while having a live band. They really didn’t focus on shopping, but more on the party, appreciation of Fashion’s Night Out and their customers. They also had a camera man outside on there red carpet taking pictures of the customers as soon as you walked out the door so it gave you the feeling that you were an exclusive party.
For all the people that were not able to attend Fashion’s Nightt Out this year, I advise you to be sure you attend next year.
