Strapped with a new attitude and new music, Que (formally of Day 26), is back with new music from his latest project.
After spending time in the studio after his first solo mix tape The Q Files which was released in March 2010, Qwanell Mosley, known to us as Que, has released his most recent project, Guitar Her.
This unplugged EP, Guitar Her was created to evoke your emotions of love while simultaneously displaying Que’s vocal talents. With tracks like Take It Upstairs and Guitar Her, it will surely bring out the best in you.
Socialtik Mag was able to speak to Que about his new EP and his life overall. Just by speaking to Que, it is obvious that there is something light and refreshing about his personality. When asked about the aurora he is clearly exuding he simply replied, “I am in a happy place right now. I have spent a lot of time with my family who has really motivated me and inspired my music.”
Like any artist with a new project out, Que wants Guitar Her to be widely received by his fans as good music. People should be able to relate to this album and take some positivity away from it. “With this project, the writing and creative aspects just came naturally from me being in such a good place mentally and spiritually.”
Que’s career aspirations don’t just begin and end with music, but he is using the music industry as a stepping stone to broadcast his talents to the masses. “In five to seven years I don’t know if I will even be in the industry. I’m just going to let God guide my path and I will follow his lead. You never know what He has in store for you.” says Que.
And we don’t know what Que has in store for us next, but one thing is for certain that it will definitely be of quality.
Socialtik Mag: What is your favorite track on Guitar Her and what makes it your favorite?
Que: My two favorite tracks would be Medicine because I had an opportunity to work with Lil’ Mo. And second would be Free Falling because I wrote that track with Dawn.
STM: What song would definitely be on the soundtrack of your life and why?
Que: Definitely A Song For You by Donny Hathaway. The lyrics say “Were alone now and I am signing this song to you.” That alone speaks for itself.
