This motown inspired tune, is the first official single off his upcoming album “Love Letter.”
In the heartfelt ballad, which brought a tear to my eye, R. Kelly sings about his lover that he’s reconciled with after his wrongdoings. “She took me back after I broke my heart about a thousand times,” he sings over a faint guitar and pauses before the end of the song to wail in acapella.
I’m really excited to see what R. Kelly has up his sleeve with “Love Letter” and from the sound of “When a Woman Loves,” it may be a classic. The Gramy award winning singer/songwriter is also working on two other albums to be released in the future entitled Zodiac and Epic.
