Last week, model and fashionista, Kimora Lee Simmons, devastated her 189,668 twitter fans by tweeting she is leaving Baby Phat.
Kimora was president, model and creative director of Baby Phat fashion. When asked, why she was leaving, she commented by saying, “It’s time for me to move on and further expand my other businesses and create a new phenomenon.”
“I adore all those who have faithfully been with me since the beginning. I’m forever dedicated to my family, fans, and customers. My inspiration has always come from the fabulous women who have been with me through the years as we’ve grown from young party girls to power players,” she continued.
Simmons still owns all of her Baby Phat fragrances including her new fragrance Dare ME. In fact, she is currently working on her sixth one.
This will not be the end for the fabulous fashion mogul, Simmons will still have KLS and Kouture so the fashion world has not seen the last of Kimora Lee Simmons. So to reassure her fans, Kimora Lee Simmons tweets “Hold on! Can’t hold Team Fabulosity Down!!!”

The real deal is that when her ex husband sold Phat Farm Inc, that included Kimora's subsidiary company. There was a provision in the sale that allowed Kimora to stay on with Baby Phat for a period of 3-5 years (I believe). It's been no secret to the Fashion World, those that care, that she was leaving. As you said she does have KLS and she also has been picked back up by E! For her Life In The Fab Lane reality show.

me personally think it's cause baby phat hasn't been doing to well (i.e. walmart sells) really?… but it did have it's epic run in the 90's I was trying to get my fabulousity on, ON A BUDGET lol
