As we all know, there are a lot of rules in fashion. For example, mom jeans are never in, you should never wear outfits that show your under garments and pantyhose should not be worn with open toed shoes. However, the main rule that is always debated, is to never wear white after Labor day.
We have been taught to never wear white after labor day because white is a light shade and in dark and neutral colors should be worn the fall and winter, but I disagree. White can be worn year-round. Especially now, when we are going through rough economic times and people may not have a lot of money to shop, everyone should start learning how to make their spring and summer wardrobes work for fall and winter.
The color is not really the problem when wearing white, but the fabric is more important. People wear white in the spring and summer months to keep cool, so to effectively transition your wardrobe from spring and summer to the fall and winter, you have to get creative in order to stay fashionable and warm.
Now I wouldn’t wear white linen in the fall and winter months, but it is okay to wear white cashmere sweaters and cardigans. It’s also okay to keep wearing those cute white skinny jeans that were in style in the spring and summer months.
White is the perfect shade for the fall and winter because you can pair white with many colors. Whether it be a cute white scarf or a white wool coat, don’t be afraid to break some rules. As long as you are confident and you make it work, there is no need to worry.

Honestly as long as white looks good on you, just keep making yourself look good. Just because a fashion statement says you not supposed to doesn't mean you can't make yourself look good in white. White is just as black, you can wear it with basically anything. I'm not fashion crazy, but that's my input.
